Keeping  physically fit can be a challenge at times but the end results can be very rewarding. On days in which you don't feel like going to the gym are the best times to go.  I stay motivated by keeping a picture of how I want to look in the left hand corner of my bathroom mirror.  I have a picture of a guy's torso from a very popular men's health magazine and I am determined to get the same look by eating right and working out at least three to four times a week.

Motivation can be defined and determined in so many ways, I however look at it as vision. I am motivated to stay healthy, for the sake of having a clear mind, body, and soul. I continue to visualize my future and part of my success is incumbent on me being healthy. Look in your own life, understand what’s important, and use that to continue to motivate and inspire your life in a healthy and positive way!

This website is motivation to me. Back in 2005 I knew that I needed to do more cardio; however, I was inconsistent with my cardio routine. Therefore, I decided to pay $100 fee to enter into a marathon race, created a website to track my marathon training, and told everyone I could possibly tell. Originally, I did these things so that I would stay on task. Who wants to pay $100 and then not follow through with the task at hand (that would be a waste of money)? Furthermore, who would want to tell all of their friends and coworkers that he is running a Marathon and not actually go through with it. Therefore, I was trying to motivate myself by following through with my Marathon training schedule and not being embarrassed by not completing my goal. Even though those were my original reasons for creating this site, it became much more. A lot of people started viewing the site and started asking me how was I losing the weight. I told them I started following a diet plan in conjunction with my Marathon and weight training.  My greatest obstacles are when family comes in town and when I am on business travel. It is during those times I really try hard to stick to my diet, cardio, and weight training.  I am currently creating a traveler's fitness plan for the site.
